Providing Good Care for the Little Ones

Since 2008, we have been funding the “Black Forest Soup Kitchen”, which is organized and run by the Hoachanas Children Fund.

In a small stone house that has been built over the years, Alwina prepares a meal for around 12 to 15 children every day. The children take the food home to share with their siblings. The soup kitchen now has running, clean drinking water, sanitary facilities and an electricity connection.

Alwina also lovingly looks after her severely disabled daughter, for whom we have provided a wheelchair to make her everyday life easier.

At the beginning of 2025, we were able to provide the necessary funds for an extensive renovation of the soup kitchen. Thanks to the active support on site, the project could then be implemented quickly. The interior and exterior walls of the building were repainted and shelves were installed for the kitchen. It was particularly important for us to renew the floor, which was previously difficult to navigate with Alwina’s daughter’s wheelchair due to unevenness. This was re-tiled and is now level.

In addition to her contributions to the community, she also cares for a severely disabled daughter. We were happy to provide this child with a wheelchair.
